It’s been a few years now since my son was diagnosed with a dairy allergy but when we as a family were making these changes, the holidays like Valentine’s Day and Easter were a little more challenging when all the goodies out there had dairy and packed with lots of sugar and not so good ingredients. These dairy free Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are the perfect treat!
These Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are so cute and can be decorated in different shapes and sprinkles and with only a few ingredients , its a more healthier treat for your family.
When you have food allergies it’s hard to find recipes that fit all the food allergies. These yummy treats are gluten free, dairy free and can be made with any nut butter or sunflower butter and dairy free chocolate chips.
5 INGREDIENTS CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS
1 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/3 pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 cup dairy free chocolate chips ( I use Enjoy Life)
Sprinkle of sea salt
HOW TO MAKE THESE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS
1.In a mixing bowl, add peanut butter and maple syrup. Mix well and place dollops of peanut butter mixture on the baking sheet and place in freezer.

2. In a double boiler, place chocolate chips and coconut oil and stir until melted. Remove from heat.
3. Place muffin tins in muffin pan and fill the bottoms of each with melted chocolate mixture.
4. Place frozen peanut butter dollop in each muffin tin and pour remaining melted chocolate on top of each. Sprinkle a touch of sea salt on each and place in freezer until chocolate hardens.

To keep these Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups shaped they should be stored in the freezer and can be stored for up to 1 month.
