While the waffle iron is getting warmed up, the batter is already made.
WHAT MAKES THESE WAFFLES ALLERGY FRIENDLY AND HEALTHY?
Yes, you read that right! Allergy friendly and healthy too. Healthy ingredients like shredded apple in place of oil, pure maple syrup in place of sugar, dairy free milk and a healthy flour choice( gluten free for gluten allergy), we use einkorn flour , which is an ancient grain flour with only small amounts of gluten. And yes, you read this right, NO EGGS needed and they still turn out perfect! I discovered Apple is the key to these perfect Easy Homemade Waffles.

EASY HOMEMADE WAFFLES INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour (we use einkorn all purpose flour)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon(optional)
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 medium shredded apple
1 1/4 cups of dairy free milk
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Add on tips: To make these even more nutritious, try adding pumpkin or butternut squash puree. Perfect for fall and winter with a touch of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.

EASY HOMEMADE WAFFLES INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat waffle iron while preparing waffle batter.
2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine together shredded apple, pure maple syrup, dairy free milk and apple cider vinegar. Whisk well.
3.. Add flour, baking powder, sea salt and cinnamon. Stir until all combined well with wet ingredients. More dairy free milk can be added for desired consistency.
4. Pour 1/3 cup waffle batter in hot waffle iron. Amount depends if your using a Belgium waffle iron or a 4 square iron. Bake until light appears or until desired color and doneness.
5. Remove from waffle iron and serve warm, top with fresh fruit, coconut whip cream or just warm pure maple syrup.

These Easy Homemade Waffles are easy and quick to whip up but if you want to whip up a batch to store in the freezer, they can be stored in an air tight container, placing a sheet of parchment paper in between each waffle to prevent sticking and freeze up 4 months.
Enjoy!
